Flu Season is Here Autumn is always the best time to get your flu shots. Although high risk patients are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated, all children between the ages of 6 months and 18 years old should get a flu vaccine. Those patients 2 years of age and older who do not have asthma or an immunocompromising condition can get the intranasal flu spray (Flumist) instead of an injection if your insurance covers this vaccine. We encourage anyone who wants their child immunized against influenza to make an appointment as soon as possible.
A completed health maintenance/physical exam form will be given to you on the day of your scheduled visit. We suggest you make copies of this form for your own records as you may need additional forms for school, camp, sports, or daycare. Our office does not provide photocopies. This form is valid for one year from the date of the physical. Effective May 1, 2008, there will be a $10 charge for duplicate forms.
Formal Developmental Screeing for autistic spectrum disorders are now being done at the 18 and 24 month health maintenance visits. You will be given a survey to complete by our receptionists, and it will be scored by our nurses. Your Physician or Nurse Practitioner will interpret and discuss these results with you during your visit.
